JARABE
JARABE
This was the first coffee we fell in love with from our lineup. It comes from a farming town called Santa María in the northwest corner of the department of Huila in Colombia, a region where some of the best quality coffee in the world is produced. The aroma of Jarabe is sweet, almost like syrup, just like its name suggests in Spanish. This coffee also imparts notes of fruit and chocolate partly acquired from various kinds of fruit trees grown around the coffee plants to provide them with shade.
Despite its literal translation, the name really stuck while sipping a cup and listening to a song from one of our all-time favorite “rock en español” bands, Jarabe de Palo. The Spanish rock genre continues to have a huge influence on Latin American music culture and society in general, especially in countries like Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia to name a few. Of course, make sure to enjoy this while rocking to whatever music you like, it’s all about feeling good!
